The Central Coast is full of surprises.
The Central Coast is full of surprises.

“I’m walking around the port bow looking for some of the deck to splinter. The sea is rough and to the point. The wind is pendulating across the bow like a ball of cut grass, and smelling of old books.”
NOTE: This is a thought I found I had written from the deck of the Vincent-K during a trip with Jim Campbell to the Channel Islands. Jim is seen in the last image.
A natural model. Nice light. The images say the rest. The Central Coast is full of surprises.
Today is my brother’s birthday! This series represents a range of emotions for me. Since this is my brother I know most of the details of his life. That is an honor for me. I have had some of his closest friends tell me they wish they were him. I consider that to be a pretty good compliment. Brother Mike has been a constant source of inspiration for me through the years, and to watch him operate a backhoe…he’s very good. But then again, our dad taught him everything he knows. Thanks Mike for these great shots. If you need excavation service call Dominguez Excavation.
Imagine a scene where you are called to open a time capsule. Imagine that time capsule as a place to store awards, ribbons, trophies and gear. This is what happened to me when Jim Campbell invited me in to a secret room on the ranch he care-takes.
