The fog parted as Jayne & Adrian moved closer together. finally their paths met at the alter and the sun shone brightly. It was a great big intimate wedding at a beautiful location. Ragged Point in Big Sur was the spot and Jayne & Adrian were the stars of the day.

The day was full of little surprises with a big impact. Things like the mother of the bride composing and singing a song for her daughter, the groom singing his vows to his bride. The speeches were hilarious and the cake fight, well, took the cake. It was tons o’fun and an honor to be a part of it for me.

We were so excited for this session it seemed like it would never get here but it finally did. We had a blast. I’ll be shooting their wedding next week and I can’t wait for that either. These are just a few of my favorites. I’m not sure if my favorite moment was stopping traffic on Burton Drive, talking about Kung Fu movies or watching Adrian balance Jayne on his shoulders? Mike stopped by to get me pumped up to go surfing by showing me the latest surf video. Wow, I’m glad he did. You might know that Mike’s brother is Lucas Handy who helped me out with some shots earlier this year. Mike and Luke Live in the amazing Big Sur. The Central Coast is full of surprises.

The latest round of self portraits. This is what five minutes got me at Dominguez Studio. Sometimes I go up to the loft and chill out. The camera was there. so was I, I couldn’t help myself.

Cassi and Grace are such a part of Cambria that I find it hard to imagine not seeing them around town. However, Spring starts their travel season so I asked them to come by the studio for some casual shots. I’m glad I did. You guys are beautiful. Thanks for for the honor and have fun. Jessie Lee’s brother and sisters are in town for a visit and they stopped by the studio for some impromptu portraits. What a bunch of hams. This was fun and we had a lot of laughs. Vikki Hansen is a business woman here on the Central coast. She is always involved in cool projects and her trademark is class. I love working with people like Vikki.

Vikki Hansen’s latest project is a luxury assisted living home for elderly people called Cherish House here in Cambria. I was given the opportunity to shoot interiors for the Cherish House brochure. These photos are for her marketing and public relations endeavors.

Lucas Handy helped me make the shots of Jim Buckley the other day. Luke is an aspiring image maker. He also writes a regular column for the Monterey County Weekly. Thanks for your help Luke.

Jim Buckley is a legendary figure in Cambria and has been the energy behind the Pewter Plough Playhouse in Cambria since he started the small theater group over 30 years ago. You may read about the Pewter Plough Playhouse and the Buckleys on the Pewter Plough Playhouse website. I had asked Mr. Buckley if it would be ok if I came by and shot a few spontaneous portraits of him. Thank you Mr. Buckley for your generosity and wonderful attitude.

An early morn after the storm. Cold and crisp with tight little sounds and low slow movement from the sea. Birds acted surprised and the sand seemed thick and groggy, while seaweed huddled together. The sky was loud and proud, inspired clouds came forth. A good morning as we said goodbye to night.
