The day was full of little surprises with a big impact. Things like the mother of the bride composing and singing a song for her daughter, the groom singing his vows to his bride. The speeches were hilarious and the cake fight, well, took the cake. It was tons o’fun and an honor to be a part of it for me.

We were so excited for this session it seemed like it would never get here but it finally did. We had a blast. I’ll be shooting their wedding next week and I can’t wait for that either. These are just a few of my favorites. I’m not sure if my favorite moment was stopping traffic on Burton Drive, talking about Kung Fu movies or watching Adrian balance Jayne on his shoulders? Thank you Adrian and Jayne for being such amazingness. You make it easy. I love photography. I love my job. The Central Coast is full of surprises.

Mike stopped by to get me pumped up to go surfing by showing me the latest surf video. Wow, I’m glad he did. You might know that Mike’s brother is Lucas Handy who helped me out with some shots earlier this year. Mike and Luke Live in the amazing Big Sur. The Central Coast is full of surprises.

I’m still thinking about it. Here are some more gems I found on my recent vacation to The Ranch. I hope you enjoy these.

Amazingness.

In the desert.

Something must’ve been funny.

Found House.

Oasis.

I killed a rattle snake. I cut off it’s head and it’s rattle in less than ten seconds. I wonder if that’s a record? Later we found arrowheads. At least one was estimated at 60,000 years old!

Desert Flower. Go Dodgers!

Desert Jokes.

This is one of my vacation destination spots. We call it “The Ranch.” It’s way far away with no cell service, tv or internet. We meet there with friends and family and we read books, fish, stare into the horizon for hours and we usually do some exploring. Watch out for rattle snakes. These images are from this Spring’s expedition.

The latest round of self portraits. This is what five minutes got me at Dominguez Studio. Sometimes I go up to the loft and chill out. The camera was there. so was I, I couldn’t help myself.

Stephanie Ronca was in town to sample some of Linn’s famous Olallieberry Pie and we made some images on her way into town. There are many more from this session and you will be seeing them in the near future. The Central Coast is full of surprises.

Eli and Goretti were hitched last week in Sonoma County. I had the honor of recording the special day and this is a sampling of the many images I shot that day. What a great time. These two are so in love and it was wonderful to be in the presence of the whole thing. The ceremony was held at Goat Rock in Bodega Bay,the reception was at the Saint Rose cafe in Sebastopol. You loyal followers might remember the portraits I did for the Hamlin Family late last year. This family is a joy to be around. Laughter is just part of their culture it seems. I have the best job in the world. Thanks you guys.

Stephanie and I have been trying to sync our calendars for what seems like months. It finally happened and it was worth the wait. The Central Coast is full of surprises.
